The Captain is licensed for up to six adults. Cruise times are flexible and lessons last approximately four hours each. Lessons will instruct you in basic boat and sail handling techniques. Please contact us for more information and to reserve your date. Weekday, evening, and weekend times are available. |

Details To Know Payment: Cash or Check in advance. Refreshments: Feel free to bring snacks and a small cooler with soft drinks. No alcohol. Bottled water will be provided. Dress: You must come prepared with appropriate clothing for the weather conditions of the day. Wear soft soled, non-scuffing shoes. Bring sunscreen. Cancellation/Rescheduling: Cancellations accepted for full refund 24 hours prior to reservation date. We are always happy to reschedule. The Captain reserves the right to refuse admittance on board to anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol. |
About The Captain United States Coast Guard licensed, Captain Steve Richardt has been sailing area waters for more than 30 years. He began his sailing career in a canoe converted to a sailboat at age 10. Since that time, he has enjoyed sailing a variety of mono-hull and multi-hull sailboats, including a Sunfish, Laser, Sailboard, and 16ft Hobie Cat. He owned and sailed a 26ft Pearson Commander for 4 years, and now captains a 30ft Cape Dory Cutter. Steve has a great love of the water and all water sports. In the past, he has enjoyed white water kayaking, canoeing, and waterskiing. As a retired Rochester City Firefighter, Steve has taught and taken part in swift water rescue. He is also certified by the American Safety & Health Institute in Basic First Aid and CPR. |
